We have recently released the 2nd beta which is going to be the last before the long-expected release!
The main changes include:

• Protection instead of Skip Segments: now you can decide to what degree you would like to protect some sort of segments like XU etc. You may totally exclude them from the report (except for consistency check) or just protect them from changing, so you know there are errors, but do not occasionally change locked segments.
• New hotkeys to enter popular signs like non-breaking space etc.
• Program-level spelling dictionaries, where you can add correct words to, and the dictionary will be used in all your projects.
• Export of all report tabs to a single Excel report.
• Improved work with word forms in terminology check.
• Lots of small improvements and fixes.

We started a forum for our users and Beta testers. Step by step, the interaction with the users has become very intensive, and people often ask the same questions, have the same problems and need the same information. While some points will at a better time get added to our knowledge base, right now you can use the forum to ask questions and get answers.

We’re also asking questions there, and we’d be happy if you share your opinions publicly.

Additionally, there is a closed subforum for beta testers from where they can automatically get links to new versions and discuss any testing-related issues.

We do ask you to register and use our forum, and we even don’t mind if one day you want to make it more “friendly” by sharing your favorite cookie recipe :)

A Beta version of Verifika 1.1 was released today and is being sent to all people who showed their interest in testing it. If you already did, but did not get a link, please wait a little, you should receive it tomorrow at the latest. If you don’t receive it anyway or if you never applied for beta testing, but would like to, please send a message to support@e-verifika.com and let us know you want to give it a try!

Please also note that beta testing is not just using the software. We expect you to share your suggestions, to let us know what you like and what you don’t like, to answer our questions, if any… This is really a little compared to the possibility to use Verifika for free :)

A well-known Russian on-line translation magazine Mozgorilla has just published a short article on Verifika (in Russian). The article provides a basic idea of what Verifika is and how it has been developed, from when the idea was born to our plans for the nearest future. We hope the article will raise the interest to Verifika in Russian-speaking countries and attract new beta testers to continue improvement and development of the tool.

We prepare a huge update for Verifika. It includes:

The official release is planned for April 2012, but you may already check them by becoming our alpha and/or beta tester.

Thanks to our users, we have recently updated the tool to avoid some false positives and some problems with the export to MS Excel. It became a bit more convenient and efficient, and we do recommend you to update for free, especially if you work with translations from Russian into English.

You won’t need a new registration key to work with this version; the update will be absolutely transparent.
